Margaret leads a team of volunteers knitting the characters, which have now raised £10,000 in sales to support us. One of the sheep, Bertie, was made especially for our patron HRH Prince Charles,The Prince of Wales and sent as a gift on the occasion of his 70th birthday last year. The team were delighted to receive lovely letter of thanks from The Palace. The person I have nominated deserves to be considered for an invitation to the Cumbria Women of the Year Lunch because: : Margaret continued to make 1000 sheep and cows which are beautiful. She is herself looking after her husband who is ill. More information will follow.
