Tess Brennan was an exceptionally dedicated special needs teacher at James Rennie Special School, Carlisle. She brought the principles of The Peto Institute, Hungary, to Cumbria with methods such as “The Sock programme” aimed at helping children with physical disabilities. This programme improved the outcomes for the children and greatly benefited their quality of life.
