Cumbria Women of the Year 2003 Winner
Pat Wright has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds over the years for a whole range of charities – NSPCC, Hospices for Children and particularly to help provide for the young people of Cumbria with life education centres. She has also invested a huge amount of time helping the children and people of Ukraine after the Chernobyl disaster. Pat has worked to purchase a ‘safe house’ for children in Kiev, who have previously been living on the streets. The house will also be used as a feeding centre with showering facilities for any child living on the streets.
Extraordinary achievements across the globe, for which she is now recognised as Cumbria Woman of the Year 2003.
