Loretta Blackburn

Loretta Blackburn has spent her lifetime fundraising. During school holidays she used to drive a minibus for physically disabled children and those with learning difficulties to take them on outings. She was also a very active member of the Evening Mail NSPCC committee which helped to raise a massive £209,000 towards the creation of a child protection scheme in Barrow. In 2004 she had helped to raise nearly quarter of a million pounds for charitable causes.
